Tuesday, 03 July 2007
  • Corpobligation is an advocacy and news site that aims to push for better corporate, government and consumer approaches to human rights and the environment

Are we a corporation, NGO, a government?

  • Corpobligation is a for profit venture. We have an agenda to change the world, but we hope to be able to fund this agenda through things like advertising and referrals. We appreciate the help of sponsors and readers who help spread the ideas of corpobligation.
  • Currently, Tim Brown is the publisher and editor of the site and the revenue from the site goes to him. He lives in Ottawa, Canada and loves to argue about how to fix the world.
  • Authors who submit work through email or after registering are eligible to receive at least 50% of the ad revenue that arises from their articles. Please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

How responsible is corpobligation.com?

  • Like any consumer and producer we are far from perfect:
    • we currently use google ads as the main advertizing method, which may lead to promotion of unsavoury sites
    • electricity is consumed by editors working on the site
  • But, we are taking steps
    • Corpobligation's hosting is green: Green Web Hosting! This site hosted by DreamHost.
    • we identify direct or indirect benefits that we may receive and we identify conflicts of interest
    • we are open to suggestions: by This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or in the forums
